Our Name and Logo

Our name comes from the acacia tree, known for its strength, deep roots, and resilience in demanding environments. In southern Africa, its branches support the large communal nests of the sociable weaver—the bird featured in our logo.

Sociable weavers work together to build and maintain expansive nests, with individual chambers connected within a shared structure. Successive generations maintain and expand these nests, building on the work of those who came before and contributing to a home that supports the wider colony.

That relationship reflects how we see ACACIA. The tree represents our platform: a strong support structure for locally led businesses. The weaver represents our operating companies and their people—the builders who carry their businesses forward while helping one another succeed. Each business brings its own leadership, identity, and relationships, while sharing experience and expertise that strengthen the network.
